Fabrice Soulier
One of the world’s best and most recognizable live event players, Fabrice Soulier brings over a decade of pro experience to Team Everest. Fabrice—known online as FabSoul— has long been regarded as one of the top players not only in his native France, but throughout the world. At the 2009 WSOP alone, Fabrice cashed seven times, made four final table appearances and finished in 49th place at the Main Event ($138,568).
An acclaimed television director from Southern France, Fabrice decided to pursue poker full-time in 2000 after winning two large French tournaments. His decision to make poker a career led him to play online and in tournaments around the globe.
“I had to make a choice between my job and poker. I was playing more and more when I was not working, and then I began making more playing poker,” says Fabrice. “I decided to try it for a year.”
“And here I am today.”
He built his bankroll entirely on his own. In 2006, he decided to take his game to the next level by taking an extended holiday in Las Vegas. Fabrice arrived with $12,000. Six weeks later, after hitting the legendary cash games at the Bellagio, he was $100,000 richer.
“Playing in Vegas has given me greater discipline as a poker player. I think the environment and the strictness of the card rooms, as well as the level of competition you encounter on a daily basis, it forces you to play good poker.”
The days of playing no-limit five-card stud as a young man in Avignon and Corsica also served Fabrice well, helping him establish himself as a skilled all-around poker player. Fabrice excelled not only at Texas Hold’em, but also in Mixed Games, H.O.R.S.E., and 7-card stud. Today, Fabrice is regarded as one of the best Omaha players in the entire world.
“Playing Omaha is so much fun,” says the reigning EPT London PLO Double Chance winner.
“I think the more people are educated about Omaha, the more mainstream it will become. In the next few years, I see there being a tremendous growth in the popularity of Omaha not just in France, but throughout Europe. “
As an ambassador and member of Team Everest, Fabrice is thrilled about his partnership with Everest Poker. “I have always loved the Everest brand and what it represents. I love the logo. I love being involved with an online poker room that thrives on personality and a real openness to new ideas and voices.”
“No one else can match Everest Poker’s commitment to both their players and the spirit of the game.”
